Any vehicle owing a $100 or more in parking citations are subject to tow.  If this vehicle is found illegally parked in Davenport, the vehicle can be towed without notice.  Once the tow truck has been called, the following process is required to retrieve the vehicle:

1.)       Pay the total amount of parking citations owed at Davenport City Hall (226 W. 4th Street).  A receipt will be provided.  Payment CANNOT be accepted on the street and the tow cannot be aborted once initiated.

2.)       Bring the receipt and proof of vehicle ownership, valid license, and insurance to the Davenport Police Station (416 Harrison Street-across from City Hall).  A vehicle release form will then be provided.

3.)       Take the release form to Fred's Towing (2330 West 73rd Street, Davenport)  and pay the towing charges.  The vehicle will then be released.

Exceptions & Special Events
Parking may be prohibited for safety reasons, such as near a crosswalk or areas designated as "No Stopping Any Time."

There may be limits on the amount of time a vehicle may park to support the needs of businesses, or parking may be reserved for a special group, such as individuals with disabilities.

During many downtown events, it is often necessary to "hood" meters or block-off entire sections of road, making it illegal to park in those locations.  Please respect these temporary blockades, as they are done for both the safety of drivers and those attending the event.
