The City of Davenport as the local authority has the responsibility for approving all liquor, wine and beer permits for submission to the State of Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division for issuance. 

Effective March 2006 the State of Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division requires that all NEW and RENEWAL applications for liquor, wine and beer permits shall be submitted online.  You can visit the State's website at www.iowaabd.com and click on the "Electronic Licensing Applications" link along the left-hand side of the home page.  If you are submitting a NEW application, please contact us at (563) 888-2066 or imm@ci.davenport.ia.us for information and additional forms you will need to begin processing of your application.

Licensees that may need help with this new process can call 563-888-2066 for more information.  Should you not have access to a computer you can contact our office or visit the Davenport Public Library.  You will also need to be able to access your bank accounts online in order to allow for the electronic transfer of funds for new and renewal applications.
