Over the past few years our park users, golf course players, and residents may have noticed changes in the way some of our parks, golf courses, and green spaces are being managed and maintained. We term this naturalization. Naturalization is a process by which a disturbed site is restored to its natural heritage and ecological function by encouraging the establishment of native plant species. Davenport Parks and Recreation will be holding a series of three Comprehensive Plan meetings in the coming weeks. Everyone is encouraged to participate in this process formalizing the Comprehensive Plan that will be in place for the next ten years.

A new driving practice range will open on Saturday, August 21 at Duck Creek Golf Course in Davenport.
Nature and Garden provides environmental friendly programming from toddlers to senior citizens. Our programs create a sense of environmental stewardship in a sustainable way through active participation. Activities take place at Davenport parks and natural areas.
