Any property owner or aggrieved taxpayer who is dissatisfied with the owner's or taxpayer's assessment may file a protest against the assessment with the Board of Review from April 16 through May 5 of the year of the assessment.  Extensions may exist in a county which has been declared a disaster area by proper federal authorities.

 

The protest must be in writing and signed by the one protesting or by the protestor's duly authorized agent.  The taxpayer may have an oral hearing before the Board if a request is made at the time of filing.
