Neighborhood Services
Neighborhood Services will work collaboratively with citizens, private and non-profit organizations and government agencies to develop and maintain effective services with the goal of improved quality of life and strong neighborhoods.

  • Develop and maintain an accurate map of neighborhood groups and organizations to expand resident participation and increase access to City services. Click here to submit or update information for your neighborhood group.
  • Maintain data for the Davenport NEW Process.  Click here to view the data page.
  • Serve as a liaison between neighborhood groups and resources in the City and community to accomplish neighborhood goals, develop neighborhood planning processes which include preliminary inventory of neighborhoods, establish and coordinate communication with community groups. Help provide technical assistance and guidance withVander Veer preparing neighborhood plans or any issues that may impact neighborhoods, as they arise.
  • Liaison for notification to neighborhood contacts regarding new policies, procedures, ordinances (new or pending) that could effect zoning changes, CIP projects for streets,sewers or light; or development projects.
  • Network with City departments and personnel and existing community leaders to work cooperatively for City-wide improvement through neighborhood goals. Network with service providers, businesses, schools and organizations throughout the City to work cooperatively toward neighborhood goals and establish a neighborhood sharing system to learn from other neighborhood efforts and develop strategy for incorporating successful elements.
  • Coordinate requests through the Neighborhood Beautification Program from neighborhood contacts and Aldermen.
