The Deputy City Clerk serves as custodian of all official records of the City.  In this role, the Deputy City Clerk attends all regular and special meetings of the Council and records the actions of the City Council.  The Deputy City Clerk also maintains all other official city records and documents and responds to requests for information.

Other notable duties of the Deputy City Clerk:

Prepares the official proceedings of Council meetings by preparing and posting meeting agendas.  All agendas are posted on the website and at the public notice display area at City Hall a minimum of 24 hours before the start of the meeting.

Maintains the corporate seal of the city.

Publishes all public notices.

Certifies ordinances and resolutions.

Certifies the validity of City documents for court evidence.
