Assisted Housing
About Us
The Office of Assisted Housing provides rental assistance to low-income families and to individuals who are elderly, physically or mentally disabled. This office also staffs the Davenport Housing Commission.
Section 8 Housing Assistance
This program is the federal government's major operating program to assist low-income families in leasing decent, safe, and sanitary housing.
Davenport Public Housing
This program provides rental housing for eligible very low income families in 42-city owned housing units located throughout the City if Davenport.
The Heritage
This facility is for handicapped or disabled persons who are 62 years of age or older. The Heritage consists of eleven stories, with 118 one-bedroom apartments and 2 two-bedroom apartments. All are equipped with an electric range, refrigerator, carpet, shades, and air conditioning. All utilities are included.
