Communications Director
 
The Communications Director reports directly to the City Administrator and is responsible for the City's comprehensive, successful public information efforts to create a pro-active, energized and strategically planned network of coordinated outreach activities directed at our citizenry.
The Communications Director is responsible for implementing and maintaining the City's communication programs including Cable TV, the World Wide Web, and the City Newsletter, to most effectively deliver messages directly to our citizenry. Additionally, the Communications Director oversees the City's media relation's efforts, while emphasizing the regular dissemination of news on the multitude of positive City programs, projects and services.

All remaining full-power television stations still broadcasting in analog will make the transition to all-digital between April 16 and June 12. As of February 17, 2009, about one-third of the nation's full-power TV stations had already gone all-digital. Visit www.dtv.gov to find out more.

City of Davenport Municipal Access Television In September of 1998, the City of Davenport launched its two municipal access cable television services. The mission is to enable our citizens to gain a greater understanding of the services, programs, projects and processes of Davenport city government. Therefore in April of 1999, the Communications Office continued its outreach efforts by beginning to videotape and broadcast City Council meetings. Currently, Committee of the Whole and Council meetings are videotaped and aired at various times....
