The Davenport Police Department has an authorized strength of 168 Police Officers and 50 civilian employees. The Department handles over 140,000 calls for service annually and has an advanced computer dispatch system, integrated in-car computers and an enhanced 911 service, supported by an outstanding, professional and dedicated group of men and women. The Davenport Police Department is also very proud to state that it is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.

The newly-formed Quad City Human Trafficking Project (QCHTP) exists to educate and raise awareness of the public, community organizations and law enforcement agencies that may come in contact with victims of human trafficking for the purpose of identifying and providing a means of solutions and support for these victims.
