Civil Rights Movement History Exhibit is Open!

 

The Davenport Civil Rights Commission in partnership with St. Ambrose University and the Putnam Museum unveils the civil rights movement history exhibit! The exhibit includes a permanent display at the Putnam Museum, a traveling exhibit for Davenport Schools, and a walking tour schedule to open this Spring. The exhibit is open from January 16, 2010 through March 1, 2010 at the Putnam Museum. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
The Davenport Civil Rights Commission is an administrative agency created by Chapter 2.58 of the Davenport Municipal Code for the purpose of enforcing the Davenport Civil Rights Ordinance.
 
The mission of the Davenport Civil Rights Commission is to secure for all individuals within our City freedom from discrimination because of race, color, religion, creed, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin or ancestry, age, mental or physical disability, marital status and familial status in the areas of employment, education, housing, public accommodation and credit.
