Centennial Park Skate Park will be closed for scheduled concrete repairs and maintenance starting April 10. The work is expected to take about a month, depending on weather.

The City has contracted with Spohn Ranch Skateparks of Los Angeles, CA for $89,950 to perform the repairs to the concrete in and around the skate park.

The 32,800 square foot skate park has been open since 2006 and receives a great of amount of activity throughout the year.  It features handrails, stairs, ledges, ramps and a 10-foot bowl. Repairs are necessary to maintain a safe facility for the many skaters, roller bladders and BMX bikers that utilize the park.

The work was originally scheduled to begin April 3 but was delayed due to a scheduling issue with the contractor.
