Mission Statement:
Davenport Parks and Recreation enhances the quality of life through    recreation and stewardship of park lands.
 

Goal:

To offer a broad range of recreational activities that provides opportunities for all citizens of Davenport. To meet that goal, programs are divided by both special interest and age.  
 
The department manages over 70 sites and more than 2,200 acres of parks and public property throughout the city. These areas and facilities consist of a children's zoo, golf courses, athletic fields, tennis courts, swimming pools, a senior center, soccer complex, a nature preserve, a theatre, winter sports areas, bikeways, historical sites, nurseries, a cemetery, a bandshell, rights-of-way, picnic sites, playgrounds, and acres of open space.
