A giant snowflake and two not quite giant snowflakes are now mounted in Vander Veer Botanical Park thanks to a partnership with Davenport West High School's welding classes and Davenport Parks and Recreation.
The snowflakes are located in the garden between the Grand Allee and the Conservatory and are already proving to be photo friendly.
Parks and Recreation staff picked up the snowflakes Tuesday morning and mounted them the same day.
Thank you to the sixty students of Davenport West's vocational welding, advanced welding and basic welding classes for your hard work on the project. They look terrific!
