Davenport named Best Holiday River Town

Events like the Traditional European Christkindlmarkt at the Freight House, Christmas Village, and Christmas Wonderland Holiday Spectacular at the Adler make Davenport voted the best holiday river town for 70,000+.
River Travel Magazine went on a search for the best Holiday Towns along the Great River Road from northern Minnesota down to the Gulf of Mexico. With 70+ River Towns from the 10 states bordering the Mississippi River nominated for the Best Holiday River Town, Davenport was voted Best Holiday River Town with a population greater than 70,000.
Davenport is the home to several holiday festivities including: Icestravaganza, Festival of Trees, Christkindlmarkt, Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, Christmas Wonderland Holiday Spectacular at the Adler, Christmas in the Village, Quad Cities 4th Annual Saxaphone Christmas at Northpark Mall, and the Senior Light Tour hosted by Davenport Police Association.
Only towns located in bordering communities, counties, and parishes on the Mississippi River are applicable for nomination.
