E Kimberly Rd Pavement Repairs

06/02/20

Watch for several traffic control changes on E Kimberly Rd beginning Wed, June 3rd. On the 3rd, the current northbound lane reduction will extend south of the Duck Creek bridge to begin work on a new water main installation in the area. Then, later this week or early the week of June 8th, patching work will finish, and the lane reductions north of Duck Creek Bridge will be lifted, leaving a single northbound lane reduction just north and south of Duck Creek Bridge.  This lane reduction and associated water main work should be complete later this month. Stay alert as construction in this area transitions.

04/16/20

Beginning Mon Apr 20, E Kimberly Rd will be reduced to one lane of travel in each direction between E 32nd St and the Duck Creek Bridge.  The lane reduction is necessary to finish pavement repairs in the area. Work is estimated to be complete in early June pending weather.

Consider an alternate route to avoid traffic delays.

12/12/19

E Kimberly Rd between E 32nd St and Duck Creek Bridge will re-open to all lanes of traffic sometime tomorrow, Fri, Dec 13th.

Remaining pavement repairs are suspended until the spring of 2020.  Work will resume in the northbound lanes.

10/04/19

Beginning Wednesday, October 9th, E Kimberly Rd will be reduced to two lanes between E 32nd St and the Duck Creek Bridge for pavement repairs.

Work will begin in the southbound lanes with traffic control eventually flipping to the northbound lanes as the project progresses.  Access to all local businesses and residents will be maintained for the duration of the project.

This project will remove and replace broken pavement panels, repair damaged joints, and resurface a section of deteriorated asphalt pavement.  Work is tentatively scheduled to be completed late fall, 2019.

Care should be taken when traveling through the work zone as traffic lanes will be narrowed during construction.
