• Pine St will be closed between 53rd and 54th Streets for approximately 1 week starting July 27 for targeted full depth patching. The following week there will be lane reductions between 53rd and 54th for targeted full depth patching, also. Work is estimated to be complete by mid-August.
• Telegraph Rd is closed just west of Sunderbruch Park to Wisconsin while crews work on emergency culvert repairs. The work is expected to wrap up by July 31. Park visitors can still access Sunderbruch on Telegraph from the east.
• Starting July 27, E 90th St/210th St will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Harrison St and Holden Dr for street reconstruction and storm sewer replacement. The project is estimated to be completed early November, pending weather.  
• Reconstruction of the Eastern Avenue Bridge is moving full steam ahead! It’s hard to believe that in just eight short weeks the old bridge was completely removed and work on the new one is already well underway. With major structural pieces in place — abutments, piers, and temporary falsework — crews will fnish rebar installation and deck work soon. Check out the status photo at this link.
• Iowa American has various water main, hydrant work, and temporary winter patch replacements happening across the city including 5th and Oak, Ripley and 8th, Wilkes and Locust, Division and 15th, Carey and 30th, 6th and Tremont, 10th and College, River Dr and Sturdevant, and 7th and Farnam.

• 07.29.26 | The Riverfront Trail between Mound Street and McClellan Boulevard has re-opened. Fencing work for the Railroad Quiet Zone project in this area is complete.

• 05.01.26 | Goose Creek Connector Trail update. The closure of 39th St between Eastern Ave and Mississippi Ave is expected to continue through June. Four sections of the trail remain under construction in the area. Two of the sections will be completed mid-May, the final two sections will be wrap-up by early July. On-going utility conflicts have resulted in delays. 

• 05.01.26 | The Duck Creek Recreational Trail crossing over Eastern Avenue will shift beginning Wednesday, May 6, for full reconstruction of the bridge. The crossing will use the entrance to Eastern Ave Park. 

  While the work is ongoing, you can get to the park from the north, and trail access is marked.
  

  When work is complete, the new bridge will shift the trail crossing under the bridge. Find details at this link.
