Davenport Cleanup and Greenup (Apr)

Cleanup and Greenup is a great opportunity to enjoy the spring, and to help protect our natural resources. Aside from leaving the tree planting and litter pickup with a sense of pride in a job well done, Cleanup and Greenup participants will have fun, make new friends, and receive a free t-shirt for their efforts to help us improve our community.

Date:  Saturday, April 28, 2018.  Check-in begins at 8:00 AM. Planting and litter pickup should be complete by 11am. 

Who can Participate?  This opportunity is open to anyone interested in beautifying Davenport and protecting our natural resources. No previous experience is necessary. Individuals under the age of 18 must have adult supervision.

Description of Project:  Volunteers will be planting trees and pickup litter along the planting route. Litter pickup consists of walking, bending and placing wastes in a bag for disposal and carries little hazard. Tree planting requires some lifting.  The equipment to be used shall include gloves, bags, shovels and/or spades. Volunteers will receive safety instruction.
