Davenport Corridor Cleanup (Mar)

Picture of volunteers cleaning up Welcome Way during the 2016 Corridor CleanupAfter the snow melts each spring we are often left with gateways littered with debris captured by snow pack along the boulevard.  The Corridor Cleanup was established to help spruce up Davenport's gateways following the winter thaw.

The cleanup is a great opportunity to greet spring, and to help protect our water resources by picking up materials that might otherwise be carried by wind or water to our local creeks and streams. Aside from leaving the cleanup with a sense of pride in a job well done, participants in the cleanup will have fun, make new friends, and receive a free t-shirt for their efforts to help us improve our community.

Join us!

Date:  Saturday, March 23, 2019, 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Description of Project:  Volunteers will be picking up litter along major corridors throughout the City. Litter pickup consists of walking, bending and placing wastes in a bag for disposal and carries little hazard.   This activity will take place in the boulevards of highly trafficked areas.  Volunteers will receive safety instruction and safety vests prior to the cleanup. Due to proximity of traffic, some areas may not be suitable for younger children.

Locations to be Cleaned:  The areas to be cleaned can be found at the registration link below.

Registration will go live in December 2018.
